One of the best kept secrets to video editing is the use of transitions. You probably have seen the camera pan from a scene outside past a tree or a wall and the other side of the transition is inside a building or someplace completely different. These kinds of shots are usually pre-thought-out and then put together in post-production. The shooter/editor in the above scene planned to shoot and edit this way. All though he claims that only 30% of the shots were pre-thought out, he still shot these scenes with “intention”.

What we love about the editing here is that it adds visual interest to the scenes. There is a lot of “sensory” moments. You can for a brief moment feel the bushes and weeds, the rush of air, the energy…
